📖 Léon XIV : un pape qui sort du silence Summary (English) On September 8, 2025, Penguin Random House announced the biography “Leo XIV: Citizen of the World, Missionary of the 21st Century” . It is based on Pope Leo XIV’s first-ever interview, conducted by Elise Ann Allen of Crux . The Pope recalls his childhood in Chicago, missionary years in Peru, Augustinian leadership, episcopal service, and papal election in May 2025. He also addresses major issues: the abuse crisis, synodality, women’s role, LGBTQ+ welcome, Vatican finances, wars in Ukraine and Gaza, and relations with the U.S. and China. The book will be released in Peru on September 18, with subsequent editions in Spain, Mexico, Colombia, and later in English and Portuguese in 2026.
